Tijili Seminyak Hotel: Bali.

Arriving at Tijili in Seminyak, we were impressed with the decor as we walked first walked in. The reception area was open plan and very modern, with comfortable couches and funky chairs at the reception desks. We took a seat at and waited to get checked in by the receptionist. As we waited, we were provided with a complimentary coconut drink and also a slice of banana bread which tasted fresh and delicious!

We got checked in fairly quickly and with no problems at all. However, we were informed at this point that although we had requested a double room when booking, there was none available. This resulted in us having a twin bed room instead. We were helped with our bags and shown to our room by one of the kind hotel staff. Our room itself was modern inline with the boutique style of the hotel, it also had a very clean feel about it with prestige white walls and bedsheets. We had had a flat screen television on the wall and various paintings and desk ornaments which added to the boutique feel. The bathroom was of a good size, nicely designed, very clean, modern and well kept. We were also provided with plenty of complimentary amenities such as shower caps, shower gel, shampoo, cotton buds and face towels.

After checking in to our room, we made our way downstairs to the pool area and each ordered an avocado and chocolate iced coffee from the hotel restaurant. A bit different from the standard coffee but it was definitely worth trying! The restaurant menu provides a good choice of drinks, snacks and light meals and at a fair price too. We lay by the pool on some of the large bean bag cushions placed around the poolside and soaked up some sun while we drank our iced coffees. We both found the pool area very relaxing and peaceful. However as the afternoon went on, we soon were short of sun as the pool became completely shadowed by a nearby building. Therefore we would recommend getting down to the pool early if you plan on catching some rays.

After the pool, we made our down to the beach. Tijili hotel is very conveniently located only a short 10 minute walk away from the beach, there are also many lovely restaurants, beach clubs and bars to choose from along the beach front. Therefore the location was ideal for us.

The following morning we received a complimentary buffet breakfast which was included in the price of our stay at the hotel. The buffet breakfast consisted of a small selection of hot dishes such as sausages, stir fried chicken and vegetables, there was also an omelette stand where we had an omelette freshly made there in front of us. Lastly, there was a salad bar and cold meats table, cereals, breads, spreads and a variety of juices and tea and coffee. When we went down for breakfast at 8.30am, the buffet was particularly busy but all the staff managed to keep on top of restocking the dishes and clearing away any dirty plates pretty quickly.

That day we were due to check out our room at 12pm, however, our flight wasn’t until later that evening so we asked at reception if it was possible to get a later check out so we would be able to spend the morning on the beach and come back to shower before heading to the airport for our flight. The friendly staff at reception informed us that they could extend our check out until 1pm and also keep our bags in storage until whatever time we needed that day- free of charge! We were delighted with this outcome as the it made our departure a very smooth one. Thanks to the staff, who were extremely kind and accomodating .

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at Tijili. We particularly liked this hotel for it’s unique, boutique, modern and very funky design! Along with the convenient location and attentive staff, our stay here further enhanced our incredible Bali vacation.
